TBC Green Horizon 400 – Route Description

Start/Finish: Sri Mulam Club, Trivandrum
Total Distance: ~ 401 km
Total Elevation Gain (uphill): ~ 3,656 m
Total Elevation Loss (downhill): ~ 3,657 m
Type: Mix of highways, town roads, and hilly sections near Punalur
Difficulty: Moderate–High (long distance with mid-route climbs)
Highlights: Punalur bridge section, lush Kerala greenery, rolling highways back into Trivandrum

0–50 km:
Head north-east from Trivandrum, crossing Killipalam – Vattapara – Venjaramoodu. Roads gradually roll with small climbs.

50–100 km:
Pass through Ayoor region and move further north into Kollam district. The terrain is still rolling, with greenery and small towns en route.

100–150 km:
Continue towards Anchal – Punalur side, hitting more hilly terrain as you near the Western Ghats foothills. Expect steady climbs and descents.

150–200 km (Turnaround sector):
The route touches Punalur Bridge area, before looping back. This section has more climbs and is likely the first control point (midway).

200–250 km:
Riders retrace back towards Ayoor, then cut towards Pothencode side instead of directly to Trivandrum. Roads are broader and faster here.

250–300 km:
Through Attingal – Pothencode – Vetturoad, mixing highway stretches and local roads. This is a flatter and quicker section compared to the earlier hilly parts.

300–350 km:
Enter Kazhakuttam – Chakka bypass stretch, busier traffic but smoother road surfaces, good for night riding with steady pace.

350–400 km (Finish):
Back into Trivandrum city, returning to Sri Mulam Club, completing the 401 km loop with ~3650 m elevation gain.
