Kittur Rani Chennamma was the Queen of Kittur, a princely state in Karnataka. She was one of the Indian female ruler to lead an armed rebellion against the British East India Company in 1824 because of the effect of doctrine of lapse. The resistance ended with her arrest and she became a symbol of the independence movement in India.

The ride starts from Bangalore's Icon location "Vidhana Soudha" moving towards Yeshwantpur and onto the NH 48 passing through Tumkur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Haveri taking left after Bankapur Toll plaza onto SH 46 passing through Mundgod, Kalghatgi, Haliyal, Kanapur and then taking right towards MK Hubli. At MK Hubli intersection of NH 48 take right towards Bangalore, passing through historic town "Kittur" and then onto service road before Dharward-Hubli bypass to get into Dharward City. At Dharward city, Relax, Refresh, Sleep after 570 Kms into the ride before proceeding. From Dharward city move towards Dharward-Hubli bypass road to get back onto NH 48 passing through Hubli, Ranebennur, Davangere, Chitradurga, Tumkur and ending the marathon ride at Kanteerva Stadium, Bangalore
